Our first baby turned 7 years old today! We got Lily when she was still a tiny, tiny pup and we tortured her by driving back the 9 hours from Shreveport to Atlanta. We got her on a whim and we were quite ill prepared for the demands of a puppy but she was and is a faithful companion. She is not the best behaved dog...I'm pretty sure she didn't pass her intro obedience class and she's very hardheaded and spoiled, but she's my baby and despite my constant aggrevation with her, I do love her dearly. Finally after 3 years, our babies are finally learning to love her and they can all play together somewhat nicely. Also, we've had several other dogs come and go, but Puppy seems to be the first one she has really taken to and they have become fast friends. Jason claims he doesn't like animals and he is annoyed by their behavior but I'm glad the trio is able to grow up so they can know the love dogs can bring and hopefully, one day, they'll learn how to take responsibility for them as well.
