Sam's birthday

http://picasaweb.google.com/Greer819223/SamS2nd?authkey=biIDOeZ94RU&feat=email#

On Monday, our sweet baby boy turned 2! To celebrate, he and his pal Zeke had a birthday party last Saturday at this nifty place called Jumpin' Jupiter (http://www.jumpinjupiterla.com/), an indoor bounce house! They got to bounce around with their friends and enjoy the wonderful choo choo train cupcake masterpiece that Candace and I created for the occasion! Attached is a link to some photos from the big day.
Since we are moving tomorrow, we are going to take this opportunity to move him to a big boy bed so wish us luck! I want to get rid of the paci as well (he only has it at night), but I think that might be too traumatic right now so we'll give it a few more months.
I still haven't located my flash drived but I have great hopes that it will show up as we clean out our old house or unpack in the new one!!

p.s. - I don't know why a song is on the slide show...could not get it to go away!!

LOST!

...and I don't mean the great tv series! I have lost my USB flash drive with all of my old pictures on it! This is awful! I'm hoping to locate it in the few places it should be but until then, the celebration of Sam in photos is on hold. So sad! Be prayin' I find that flash drive...I will be crushed if I can't locate it.

Count down to Sam's birthday!

Sweet baby boy!

Following in the footsteps of my friend Megan, I am going to celebrate the week leading up to Sam's birthday with a photo montage! It is so very hard to believe that my baby will be two next Monday!!

Meeting mama & daddy for the first time:

Here he is a few days after coming home (he was in the NICU for six days!)

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Today is Zeke's 2nd birthday...he and Sam have been pals since pretty much their original "birth" days being that they are only 8 days apart. They have their own little subtle ways of connecting and I can't wait to see their friendship blossom and bloom over the years. By the looks of Zeke and Gracie's fun today at the Barku and Meoux parade, we may even have a son in law in the making!!!!

adios Delaware!

Well after a short time on the market, we received a contract on our house last week! Things have been going full steam ahead ever since. We are set to close on the 26th of this month...wow! A wonderful, young engaged couple is buying the house and I couldn't be more happy that they are going to be the next people to occupy the old, charming home. Of course they just did the inspection on Friday and with it being an old house, there are a few issues, mainly electrical, so I have my fingers crossed and prayers said that everything will continue to move as smoothly as it has up to this point.
I'll keep you posted...

Happy Birthday Lily

Our first baby turned 7 years old today! We got Lily when she was still a tiny, tiny pup and we tortured her by driving back the 9 hours from Shreveport to Atlanta. We got her on a whim and we were quite ill prepared for the demands of a puppy but she was and is a faithful companion. She is not the best behaved dog...I'm pretty sure she didn't pass her intro obedience class and she's very hardheaded and spoiled, but she's my baby and despite my constant aggrevation with her, I do love her dearly. Finally after 3 years, our babies are finally learning to love her and they can all play together somewhat nicely. Also, we've had several other dogs come and go, but Puppy seems to be the first one she has really taken to and they have become fast friends. Jason claims he doesn't like animals and he is annoyed by their behavior but I'm glad the trio is able to grow up so they can know the love dogs can bring and hopefully, one day, they'll learn how to take responsibility for them as well. Happy birthday Lily and here's to many more!!!!
